Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd began her journey into combat sports at the age of 14. After a kickboxing training session, wrestling BJJ and BJJ, she made her amateur debut against Jaimee Nievera at WCFC when she was just 18. Ladd took advantage of this win and then went on to a three-fight victory streak in Ultimate Reno Combat finishing her opponents inside the first round in each fight. She then went back to WCFC and beat Leslie Rodriguez via unanimous decision. Aspen beat Silvia B beghian as well as Maddy Simmons prior to facing Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia beat Aspen and defeated her in a unanimous decision, putting the mark of a loss on Aspen's record as an amateur. Ladd recovered from the loss in the final by beating Roma Pawelek in Tuff-N'-Uff, making her record 8-1. Aspen made her pro debut in 2015 after signing with Invicta FC. Invicta fight Ana Carolina Vidal in Invicta 2011, and was victorious by first-round TKO. Invicta Fighter Championships 16. Aspen won her next bout against Amanda Cooper through a second-round Armbar submission. Aspen employed her skills in wrestling to knock down McGill with a TKO during the third round (elbows & punches). She next fought Jessica Hoy at Invicta FC 18 at catchweight(138.1lb) as Ladd was unable to reach the weight limit. Aspen was a dominant Hoy and finished her off in the second round with a TKO. Invicta FC 28 was her final fight for the company. Invicta FC 22 saw Sijara Eubanks beaten by a an unanimous decision. The debut of Aspen Ladd's UFC debut was in UFC Fight Night 118 when she fought Lina Lansberg. She was a step ahead of Lina with her ground and pound techniques, resulting in an TKO 2nd round win. Her dominance continued and she won a much more convincing victory when she fought Tonya Evinger. UFC 229 Ladd was able to defeat Evinger within the first minute and was awarded a prize for her performance during the night. Invicta FC, a rematch of UFC Fight Night dos Anjos and Lee the fight was between Sijara-Eubanks for her first significant fight. Ladd's victory was a unanimous victory, and the Fight of the Night award was awarded to each fighter. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie finished Ladd within 16 seconds of the fight, breaking her winning streak. She bounced back and finished Yana Kunitskaya after the third round of UFC at ESPN 7. She faced Norma Dumont as a substitute for her fight last time with the UFC at UFC Fight Night 195. Her defeat was decided by majority vote.
