COLUMBIA, S.C. Columbia Police Department officers had been searching for Sims since Christmas week, but were unable to find him. They took in Taylor Wardlaw and charged him with accessory after an incident that involved murder as a result of Sims's death. The police say Eddie Brown (30), is being held for being an accomplice in the death. Sims, 26, was last seen December. 20 on Ervin Street in Columbia. According to the police report, his partner Wardlaw reported Sims missing in the early morning of Dec. 22. On Wednesday, a body was located near Monticello Road. Naida Rutherford Coroner of Richland County confirmed the body belonged to Sims. Skip Holbrook, chief of Columbia Police says Wardlaw has been accused of murder as well with possessing a firearm during the execution of a violent offense.
