Stevie Wonder

Stevie WonderStevland Morris (ne Judkins, May 13, 1950) popularly referred to as Stevie Wonder is an American singer-songwriter from the United States. It is said that he is credited with being an innovator in a range of genres like blues and rhythm, jazz, gospel, soul gospel, funk and gospel. The synthesizers used by Wonder in the 1970s, and other electronic musical instruments made R&B an all-female show. He also helped push these styles into the album era and made his LPs solid and coherent, and also incorporating explicit statements about social consciousness with intricate compositions. Blind from the time of the birth of his son, Wonder was a child prodigy who signed on with Motown's Tamla label at the age of 11, which was the time he received the stage name Little Stevie Wonder. Wonder's success on the critical scene was at its height in the 1970s. His "classic period" which began in 1972, saw the release of Music of My Mind. Talking Book featured "Superstition", one of the most famous and distinctive sounds produced by the Hohner Clavinet keyboard. The albums Innervisions (1973), Fulfillingness The First Finale (1974) and Songs in the Key of Life (1976) all won the Grammy Award for Album of the Year, making him the tied-record holder for the most Album of the Year wins, with three. Wonder is the only artist who has won the award on three consecutive albums. Wonder was an "commercial artist" when he began to have his greatest hits in the early 1980s. His popularity grew as a result of increasing album sales, charity involvement and prominent collaborations.
